How much does a website cost?
It depends on what you actually need. A basic static site starts from $600, a CMS or page builder build (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and similar) starts from $1,500, an e-commerce store (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and others) starts from $2,000, and a full-stack custom build starts from $8,000. We'll give you a straight answer once we know what your business needs, not a generic "starting from" number that never applies to anyone.
Which website option is right for me?
If you just need a simple online presence with no ongoing changes, a basic static site does the job. If you'll be updating content yourself regularly, a CMS build gives you that control. If you're selling products, you need an e-commerce site. And if your business needs something no off-the-shelf platform can do, that's when a full-stack custom build makes sense. Happy to talk through which fits before you commit to anything.
How long does it take to build a website?
Most straightforward business sites take a few weeks from brief to launch. Bigger builds - a large product catalogue, a custom online store - take longer, mostly because there's more content and structure to get right, not because the process itself changes.
Do I need a logo or brand before I can get a website?
It helps, but it's not a hard requirement. If you don't have one yet, we can sort logo and branding first, or build the site around a simple starting point and refine it later. We'd rather get you online than have you wait on a logo that's stuck in limbo.
Will I be able to update the site myself afterwards?
Yes - we build on content management systems made for people who aren't developers, and we walk you through how to use it before we hand over. If you'd rather not touch it at all, we also offer ongoing support and updates.
Do you work with businesses outside Rangiora and Christchurch?
Most of our clients are based across Canterbury, but web development doesn't require us to be in the same room - we work with businesses anywhere in New Zealand.
